This year's neighborhood cleanup was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 under blue skies and over 25 volunteers on hand to clean up around the Monon Trail and the large open field.  Also, with the help of the city trash truck we went down the alleys picking up large discarded items.

Additionally, we were able to remove all the overgrown brush at 28th leading to the Monon Trail.

A big shoutout to all of the volunteers that aged in range from 16 years old to mid 80s!

The event is in conjunction with the "Keep Indy Beautiful" project held once a year.

Our trunk or treat night was a great success!

On October 31, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM, our neighbors gathered for an enchanting evening of ghosts and goblins, filled with friendship and camaraderie in the Monon Yard Neighborhood.

We also celebrated the birthday of a lifelong resident, Miss Barbara Alexander!

Many little ones dropped by to collect their share of the candy and treats available.

A heartfelt thank you to our communications chairperson, Melissa DeRosier, for organizing this delightful event.

We look forward to seeing everyone next year!

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AUGUST 5, 2025

Another successful gathering took place in our neighborhood, where we welcomed local fire and police departments at the "Triangle" located at 28th & Guilford. This event provided an excellent opportunity to connect not only with our neighbors but also with local dignitaries.

City-county council representative Ron Gibson stopped by to meet with his constituents, along with members from the new middle school being constructed at 25th & Winthrop.

This year's

KEEP INDIANAPOLIS BEAUTIFUL DAY

was held on May 10, 2025.

A big shout-out to all those that were able to pitch in and make the Monon Yard neighborhood sparkle!  On a perfect Saturday morning, we had over 30 neighbors span out of the entire area picking up trash & debris.

Special thanks to our Communication Chair, Melissa DeRosier, for organizing this event along with Al Burgan for his donations of water & snacks for the crews.
